Project AWARE Mentoring Program

pam-1Project AWARE Mentoring Program (PAMP) is designed to pair caring adults with young people who need support, reinforcement, counsel, and friendship. PAMP offers young people the chance to develop relationships with adults, other than their parents or teachers, whereby mentors can become friends, role models and advocates.

Mentoring can:

  • Improve a child's self esteem
  • Help improve academic skills
  • Lead young people to resources they may not find on their own
  • Provide support for new behaviors, attitudes and ambitions
  • Enhance parenting skills

All children have the potential to succeed in life. However, some do not get the support they need to thrive and become productive, contributing members of society. FII Mentors are a highly motivated, well trained and dedicated group of caring adults who possess an unalterable desire to make a difference in the lives of children. FII mentors embrace and fully support the slogan “Every Child Deserves a Chance!”
