SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS
|
Support groups are hosted monthly for individuals formerly incarcerated or who have been affected by the incarceration of a loved one. The groups give participants the opportunity to discuss their issues surrounding their separation from family and community. Each session features guest speakers on life skill issues such as healthy relationships, money management, and accessing community resources.

EARN BENEFITS PROGRAM

| In partnership with SEEDCO, FII connects families to state, federal, and private benefits that help meet their needs such as Food Stamps, Health Insurance WIC, Earned Income Tax Credit and more. Recertification of Benefits may also be obtained.

OUR TIME ENTRPRENEURIAL PROGRAM
|
| Collaboration between FII and the LeMoyne –Owen College Community Development Corporation’s Business Development Institute designed to prepare the caretaker/guardian for the job market and to teach them entrepreneurial skills.

STEP UP 4 CHILDREN

Annual Awareness Campaign and fundraising event. This campaign promotes the importance of mentoring, community awareness and involvement and to ensure that every child has a fair chance in life.

REFERRAL SERVICE

An extensive network of providers who addresses the day to day special needs of families and children who are affected by incarceration.
|
|
REINTEGRATION PROGRAM
|
|
FII staff conducts life skills, parenting workshops and job readiness training for adult offenders in pre-release programs in both the State and Federal Prisons.
